The IP address of your router is what you use to access configuration screen of the device. To find IP address of your router you can use a command line tool called ipconfig


  1. If you are using Windows XP click on Start button and then on Run command. It should open following window:

    Type in cmd and press OK.

  2. Or, if you use Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8, click on Start and type in cmd in the search bar of the Start Menu and then click on the cmd.exe program to open it.


  3. That should open a program referred to as a command prompt which looks like this:


  4. At the command prompt type in ipconfig and press Enter. You should receive following result. IP address of your router is under the title 'Default Gateway' (highlighted).


  5. Type this address in your favourite web browser's address bar to access router configuration screen.
