The IP address of your router is what you use to access configuration screen of the device. To find IP address of your router you can use a command line tool called ipconfig.
- If you are using Windows XP click on Start button and then on Run command. It should open following window:
Type in cmd and press OK.
- Or, if you use Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8, click on Start and type in cmd in the search bar of the Start Menu and then click on the cmd.exe program to open it.
- That should open a program referred to as a command prompt which looks like this:
- At the command prompt type in ipconfig and press Enter. You should receive following result. IP address of your router is under the title 'Default Gateway' (highlighted).
- Type this address in your favourite web browser's address bar to access router configuration screen.
